Emily has been busy these last couple of weeks.  We've gone with Daddy to visit the Daycare she will be going to. Visited Mommy's work to meet everyone at MK.  Gone walking with Auntie Amy and Davis.  We've had a lotta lunch- lunch with Gammy, Aunt La La- other Aunt LaLa, Katie, Kim, Carmen, Sara, Sha, & Helen Grace- that's a lot of lunch!  Mommy is trying to squeeze girl time in before she goes back to work.  We even went all the way to Oxford to have lunch at City Grocery with Aunt Rachel- ROAD TRIP!!  And we turned 10weeks old to boot. We've watched the British Open with Daddy and World Cup Soccer with Mommy- GO USA!  A busy girl indeed

10 weeks people!

Two Month Checkup

Emily had her two month checkup last week...time is flying by.  UGH!  Dr. Miller says she is doing great. She weighs 10 lbs 13.5 oz and is 22 inches long now.  Her hair is growing too!  She got her shots- Daddy held her hands and mama sat over in the corner and got teary when her baby girl started screaming. Oh my goodness it was horrible- but we survived.  She is awake a lot more these days and is cooing and "talking" to herself and to us. She is playing more now too.  She can follow bright colors now with her eyes. She will follow the sound of your voice too. We don't have to go back again until 4 months...whew!  Mama doesn't like shots any more than Emily does.

Happy Birthday America!!

Happy Birthday America!  Emily celebrated her first Fourth of July with some great friends. We had a low key long weekend and just enjoyed being a family.  Sean and I took Emily to see her daycare on Tuesday and we met her new teacher Ms Janice.  We are excited to know she will be in loving, capable hands when I have to go back to work in a couple of weeks.

Meeting Gram

Emily finally got to meet her "Gram" this past week.  Sean's mom and brother Brian came for their first visit and I do believe it was worth the wait for all!  We had a really nice visit and I think Emily and Barbara both fell in love.  There were a lot of hugs and cuddles and kisses.  Uncle Brian even joined in on the fun and fed Emily a bottle one night! We were sad to see them go and hope they come back real soon!  We love and miss you already Gram!!!

7 weeks

Emily is growing like a weed people!  She weighs 10 pounds and I swear she is about 23 inches long! And yes, she still has all of her hair.  She is wearing some 3 month stuff now but mostly for length...they still swallow her around the middle and up top in her shoulders. Road Trip

So time sure does fly...when there is a newborn in your life. We've been busy with the usual...eating, sleeping and diapering but we took Emily on her first road trip to the beach with my family a couple of weeks ago.  She got to meet her cousins and got lots of attention from the whole family.  She loved listening to the waves and her mommy and daddy enjoyed some beach time. It was so fun to watch the other kids (Walker and Camille) react to meeting and spending time with Emily.  I know my mom and Aunt and Uncle enjoyed watching the three grandchildren be together- it's been a long time coming for there to be 3 grandbabies in the family again! We had a lovely week and although I was ready to be home, I was sad to leave the beach.  

One Month Already?!

Boy time sure flies when you are sleep deprived... Emily is a month old!  I can't believe that this precious angel has been on this earth for a whole month already.  She brings us so much joy- just a silly grin or an successful burp makes this proud mama glow from the inside out!  I feel so blessed that she is so sweet and healthy - and we thinks she's pretty cute too! A Busy Week

We had a busy week and I am just getting around to posting. SORRY!

We have such good friends and family who all want to come by and meet Emily. I am so thankful for each and every one of you and so glad you are all sharing in our joy!

Emily got to meet her Uncle Ken and BFF Davis this weekend- it was a fun visit. I can't wait for these two to grow up with each other and be friends. Auntie Amy came along too- Love you Auntie Amy! We had another real bath- we're getting better at this stuff.   Kristen and Nicole came by for a visit Monday.  We had our photo shoot with Miss Heather and lunch with Nana on Tuesday- our first real outing.  On Thursday, Gammy and Laura came over and we went to lunch at Houston's - our first girl's outing!  Nana and Aimee came along too ;)

Saturday Emily attended her first crawfish boil - she didn't partake, but she was the belle of the ball even though she slept the whole time.  It was HOT! Happy Memorial Day in Memphis 100 degrees cool...

We took our first walk and Lily went too- and it went well. Lily was scared of the stroller for a bit but got used to it and realized I was not going to hit her.  Unfortunately now it's so hot who knows when we will be able to go out for another one.  no pictures from the walk...will have to do better next time to remember.

Photo Shoot

Miss Emily was such a good little model at her first photo shoot. Our friend Heather was amazing and so patient with our little angel.  We were there for 2 1/2 hours sleeping and posing and even a few costume changes. Emily only woke up a couple of times- once to eat! ha!  I can't wait to see all of the pictures. I know Heather got some great shots. We even had our first lunch outing with Nana at Carmela's and Emily slept the whole time--such a good sweet girl. Here is a sneak peek!! I  will post more as soon as we get them.
