The Sacrament of Holy Baptism - Andrew

We finally had Andrew's Baptism last weekend!  I was worried that we'd never get around to it and that the beautiful gown of Barbara's would not fit Andrew by the time we did.  I had been waiting around - not really sure why. Then the dates at church didn't work for us/family. Then we were without a priest at church and I was just frustrated.  Enter- my sweet, dear friend Bill Murray- who most of you know- just happens to be a priest! We saw he and Jessie at Italian Festival and started talking (actually I started complaining) and just said that I wished he could do it- and he said "I can" - and the iphones came out and a date was set! YAY Billy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (For those of you who don't know)- Bill and I have been friends since college. He was kind enough to officiate our wedding several years ago, and now he has Baptized our son.



We had a wonderful day at St. Elisabeth's. Emily behaved, family and friends gathered to support us, and sweet Andrew was as happy and chatty- even through the sprinkling of the water on his head!  We had lunch at the house afterward. Rachel, Lauren, and Rebecca helped me prepare the food and set it up. Lauren made a delicious and beautiful cake. Kim took pictures of everyone and everything. Rachel - as usual did most of the cleaning up. I could not have done it without them. Thank you to Scott and Lauren for honoring us as Andrew's God Parents.  Thank you to Tom, (Sean's Father, aka Papa) for coming in. Thank you to my family for coming- and of course to our dear friends for helping us celebrate our special boy! We love you all.
