7 Months

check out how BIG my tights are- seriously mom?

Emily turned 7 months old on Tuesday, November 29th. I can't believe how fast this year is going! She is such a joy. Even when she has been sick- which seems like a lot lately, she is pretty happy and easy going.

  • She weighs in at 15.8 pounds
  • she is still toothless, but seems to be getting close (maybe) as she is raking her paci, hand, teething ring, your finger, across her gums constantly
  • she is starting to hold her arms up toward you when she wants to be picked up
  • she is sitting up really well- is possibly thinking about wanting to crawl. maybe
  • she is creeping- backwards mostly
  • she now flips onto her belly to sleep and usually turns herself in a circle before settling down in some weird position in the crib
  • we practice standing a lot. she seems to like to stand
  • she can get puffs up to her mouth- and has even gotten a couple into her mouth
  • she still LOVES to eat. she loves almost everything we've given her. mac and cheese, chicken and veggies, turkey and rice.  she still loves prunes
  • we are working on the sippy cup but she would rather chew on it than try to drink from it
  • she is wearing mostly 6 month clothes but some jammies are getting a bit short in length
  • she HATES shoes and socks - are we sure this is MY child???
  • her hair is coming in pretty nicely now. it's getting thicker by the day
  • she goes to bed between 6:45 and 7:15 most nights and can sleep through the night- but with teething and being sick lately she hasn't been so consistent with that. BOO!
  • almost forgot- we've moved to sitting up in our tub all by herself. She LOVES bath time and has gotten really mad at me when I take her out now to dry her off.

This little girl absolutely lights up our world. And makes my heart burst with joy. I presonally can't get enough of her and still miss her like crazy when I am away from her all day.
